AMBULANCE SERVICES:

We provide the full spectrum of ambulance services including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Specialty Care Transports (SCT). Our fully equipped and modern fleet meets or exceeds applicable industry and regulatory standards. We are licensed to provide services in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens. Units are staffed by state certified Emergency Medical Technicians, Nationally Registered Paramedics and Registered Nurses.

WHEELCHAIR VAN SERVICES:

We provide premium wheelchair service for clients that require assisted transportation but do not require an ambulance. Our trained and courteous staff assists clients at the point of pick up and conveys them safely to their destination. Our wheelchair van fleet is comprised of late model, lift equipped vans.

Wheelchair van service is available daily, Monday through Saturday. This service is not covered by Medicare. Other insurances are accepted when pre-authorized. For your convenience we accept credit card pre-payment.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Our Events Medical Services Division provides expertise in first aid and standby services to a wide spectrum of events from share holder meetings with groups of 5 to 500 to road races to community and sports events to festival with over 100,000 attendees.

Our management and operations team have a proven record of planning and executing medical care and deliver systems that enhance the safety and comfort or your guest while being unobtrusive.

Event Medical services are designed to be integrated with the services of local health care institutions and jurisdictional EMS providers. Our services are recognized and respected.

Our organization is committed to meeting the needs of our patients, referral partners and employees. Utilizing a process of continuous operational review the Administrative Team focuses on ensuring that services are provided in a time responsive and clinically effective manner.

A staff of over 300 dedicated employees makes quality care possible. Life Star’s field personnel are deployed in modern well equipped fleet that includes 34 BLS, ALS, SCT Units and 50 Wheelchair medical coach vehicles. The fleet is maintained by a staff of experienced and certified vehicle mechanics.

LifeStar has made a commitment to equip our staff with state of the art medical equipment. Our biomedical equipment includes supplies and equipment for the special populations that we serve in addition to cardiac monitoring/treatment systems, ventilators and multi parameter physiologic monitoring systems.

The Training and Quality Assurance Department provides training and operational support in addition to interfacing with a licensed biomedical engineering concern. The Corporate Medical Director takes a proactive approach in insuring that our personnel, fleet and equipment function in a comprehensive and cohesive manner.
